Expiration of Rights
The right to receive health insurance benefits expires after two years. Please be aware that you will no longer be able to receive benefits when two years have passed from the initial date to calculate the expiration of rights.
Expiration of Rights Related to Insurance Benefits
Illness and injury allowance and childbirth allowance | Two years from the day after the day on which the individual became unable to work |

Childbirth/childcare lump-sum allowance and dependents’ childbirth/childcare lump-sum allowance | Two years from the day after the day on which the individual gave birth |
Funeral expenses and family member burial fees | Two years from the day after the day on which the individual died |
Medical treatment expenses | Two years from the day after the day on which the patient paid the costs |
High-cost Medical Care Expenses | Two years from the first day of the month after the month in which the individual was examined or treated (or the day after the day on which the payment was made if the out-of-pocket portion of the medical expenses was paid in or after the month in which the individual was examined or treated) |
